Crystal Valley Vineyards

Crystal Valley Cellars”, (CVC), is prominently located in the Lodi Grape Growing Appellation of California, resting about 70 miles southeast of Napa Valley, near the foothills of the Sierra Mountains.

In 2004, CVC completed construction of a 5,000 case production facility and an adjacent Tasting Room in Lockeford, California. This boutique facility is surrounded by 18 acres of old gnarly Zinfandel vines that continue to flourish in their sandy soil for well over 100 years. This legendary vineyard is the source from which the THE ZIN and CIGARZIN, two of Cosentino’s most popular wines, are created.

In 2006, the majority of CVC’s production moved 5 miles down the road to Clements, California, where its new “state of the art” facility was completed on Cosentino Wineries’ 40 acre vineyard property. “THE” wines produced at CVC, also known as “The California Series”, reflect the true range of California’s finest wine grapes, meticulously sourced from specific vineyards throughout California, dedicated to expressing the authentic varietal characteristics of a particular grape. Many of “THE” wines are dedicated to very small lot productions of Old World and Mediterranean varietals that are rarely grown in California.

Having begun his winemaking career in Modesto, California over 30 years ago, Mitch Cosentino has maintained many of the same relationships and vineyard sources over the years. Combining invaluable regional expertise with Napa Valley technique, Crystal Valley Cellars is able to produce wines of consistent quality, complexity, depth and harmony.
