Today, “Crystal Valley Cellars”, (CVC), is prominently located in the Lodi region of California, resting about 70 miles southeast of Napa Valley, near the foothills of the Sierra Mountains.

 

 

In 2004, CVC completed construction of a 5,000 case production facility and an adjacent Tasting Room in Lockeford, California. The boutique facility is surrounded by old gnarly Zinfandel vines that continue to flourish in their sandy soil for over 100 years. It is here were CVC began to dedicate its production to crafting fine wines from select regions outside of the Napa Valley.

 

 

In 2006, the majority of CVC’s production moved to Clements, California, when its new “state of the art” facility was completed on 40 acres of vineyard property. The wines produced at this facility reflect the quintessential element of Cosentino’s signature winemaking style that has always brought forth the true characteristics and components of a particular grape varietal. Because of this, CVC’s wines are now commonly referred to as The “THE” Wines, with our most popular releases baring “THE” on their labels such as “THE ZIN”, THE CAB”, “THE MED” and “THE CHARD”.

 

 

Employing the Cosentino spirit and tradition, CVC makes over 15 different wines from the Lodi region. Many of “THE” wines are dedicated to very small lot productions of Old World and Mediterranean varietals. Some of these wines are very rare and are only available in the Cosentino Tasting Rooms or exclusively through the Cosentino Wine Clubs.

 

The wines from Crystal Valley Cellars possess a harmony of fruit and depth, and a rare balance of ease and complexity that make each wine extremely accessible today as well as having the ability to age and provide enjoyment for years to come.
