 VINTAGE: A multi-vintage Solera style blend from 1997-2008
APPELLATION: California - Napa, Sonoma, Lodi, and Solano County areas
COMPOSITION: A unique blend of Pinot Noir, Syrah, Carignane, Zinfandel, Merlot, Sangiovese, Mouvedre, and Petite Sirah with Dolcetto and a few other things.
WINEMAKING: One third fermented in open top tanks using the punch cap process, the remaining two thirds was fermented in stainless tanks. Aged for 15 months primarily in American and European oak with a little French oak. The wine is unfined.
TASTING NOTES: Ruby colored. Rich and round while bright and balanced. Cherries and berries with notes of baking spices in the nose. A mélange of red fruits, including pomegranate. Structured, yet supple, with ripe tannins and a long, crisp, creamy finish. A unique experience.
