![]() Lodi 97% Zinfandel (about 70% Old Vine) and 3% Petite Sirah One third fermented in open top tanks using the punch cap process, the remaining two thirds was fermented in stainless tanks. Aged for 15 months primarily in American and European oak with a little French oak. The wine is unfined.
The nose unveils raspberry, blackberry and a hint of baking spices. Expanding on the palate dense raspberry fruit with an impressive weight that unfurls layers of cinnamon, clove and roasted coffee beans. Exceptionally vibrant, the wine concludes with well-rounded tannins that support the dense fruit. |
